A transparent PNG or an SVG works best. Use a large version, at least 1000 px wide, so it prints sharply.
The preview shows screen colours. Printed colours will look a little duller.
Sheets bigger than your paper print in pieces with a 10 mm overlap to tape together. Most home printers leave a thin white edge on every page. Some Epson EcoTank models only print borderless up to about 10 × 15 cm, so on A4 expect a white border of around 3 mm and trim it off, or use a larger sheet and cut it down.
